James Henderson, Chief Executive Officer
James Henderson is a specialist in general management, strategy, corporate development and marketing, working with premium brands and services catering to high net worth clients. He started his career in strategy consulting and has held a series of senior roles in business development, brand management and operations and as Chief Executive Officer of several businesses, with responsibility for more than $100 million in revenues.
As Chief Executive Officer of Synchrony Yachts, James is currently responsible for establishing and developing the Synchrony Luxury Yacht program. He has developed the business strategy, operating and service models, usage system and designed the optimal fleet structure for the program. He has also negotiated an arrangement with leading luxury yacht manufacturers Azimut-Benetti Group to design, configure and supply the first series of yachts to the program and appointed an advisory board with significant experience in the yacht management and hospitality space.
Prior to Synchrony, James was Chief Executive Officer of a consumer goods business based in Los Angeles, where he restructured the organization, repositioned the brand and took the business from six years of losses to an operating profit within 18 months, ultimately presiding over the sale of the business. James has also spent five years with a European private equity group managing portfolio interests in the BMW Sauber Formula One Motorsport team and a Private Banking business. Prior to that he held a series of marketing and business development roles with a $1.8 billion luxury goods and marketing group representing leading international brands including Bally, Puma, IWC, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex, Cartier and a portfolio of high-tech brands. He has also worked with leading international brands including Red Bull, Petronas, Ferrari and Royal Scandinavia Group.
David Shoemaker, Executive Director
David Shoemaker is a successful Florida based entrepreneur with interests in medical services, real estate and financial services. He has built and developed a series of highly successful businesses on the West Coast of Florida and in the South Florida region. David has demonstrated a successful track record over the last 25 years as a developer of innovative medical office, surgical and retail real estate projects, which have been recognized for outstanding architectural design and efficiency.
David is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Center For Sight, one of the country’s leading eye, cosmetic and skin care businesses. David is also the Managing Member of Laser and Surgical Services at Center For Sight, which has been recognized by industry leaders as one of the highest volume and most profitable eye and cosmetic surgery centers in U.S.
Bob Saxon, Advisor & Director of Marine Operations
With more than 30 years of experience in the yacht management and operations, Bob is one of the pioneers and leaders in the industry. Most recently he was President of Camper & Nicholsons USA for eight years and prior to that he owned and operated his own yacht management company. He is also a past President of the International Super Yacht Society and a member of the Executive Committee.
Michael Moore, Advisor Legal Affairs
Michael Moore has been practicing maritime and aviation law for over twenty years. Before founding his own firm he was a partner with Holland & Knight and chaired the firm’s Marine and Aviation Practice. He has also served several terms on the firm’s board of directors.
